The brutal beating of Tyre Nichols has reignited a debate of racial justice and police reform, Memphis, Tennessee, has a dark history when it comes to racial violence.
It was here that Martin Luther King was killed five decades ago.
It is here today that Tyre Nichols – the black man who died after he was assaulted by police officers is being laid to rest.
The Vice President Kamala Harris is due to attend, as are relatives of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor – two other Black Americans killed by police.
