Two killed as Storm Ali hits British Isles

First the south eastern coast of the US, then the Philippines, it seems it’s now the turn of the north of England, Scotland and Ireland to be battered by deadly storms.

Two people have died and one is seriously hurt as Ali, as it’s been named, has brought winds of up to 100mph. Thousands of homes are without power, lorries have overturned and a cruise ship has broken free from its moorings.
