Trump snubs Biden inauguration and says ‘we’ll be back’

There was a red carpet, a 21-gun salute and, somewhat bizarrely, a rendition of Sinatra’s My Way, as Donald Trump boarded Air Force One for his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, clutching his wife Melania’s hand as if his life depended on it.

Gone, but perhaps not departed – as Mr Trump told his supporters: “We’ll be back… we’ll see each other again.”
