Toys R Us future in doubt

All they want for Christmas is £9 million. That’s the demand the Pension Protection Fund has made to the ailing retailer Toys R Us. The PPF said it planned to vote against the group’s restructuring plan at a meeting on Thursday unless it came up with the cash to beef up its pension pot. If a deal isn’t agreed by Thursday, all remaining 3,000 jobs at Toys R Us could be at risk.
