Tory leadership contender Rory Stewart’s pitch for ‘radical centre’

One of the contenders for the Tory leadership, Rory Stewart, is pitching himself as the candidate for the “radical centre”, talking to voters in Leave and Remain areas with his appeal for a managed Brexit deal.

We jumped in a cab with him as he headed out for a walkabout through Lewisham market in south London – and put it to him that as a graduate of Eton and Oxford, he was just another member of the elite.
