Theresa May: Brexit deal still ‘achievable’

The Prime Minister Theresa May insists a deal with the EU is “achievable”, but the thorny issue of Northern Ireland staying in the customs union remains a sticking point. In an urgent statement to the House of Commons this afternoon, Mrs May said she believed the UK and the EU were “not far apart”, but with the EU summit meeting looming large on Wednesday, has she reached stalemate or are the talks in their final stages?
