‘There’s no such thing as spending too much’ public money to save economies, says economist Mariana Mazzucato


Perhaps one of the lessons the pandemic has taught us is that the market economy has its limits, that in times of great financial peril, states have been forced to spend vast amounts of public money just to stop their economies from falling apart.

But does the future lie in destroying capitalism or in saving it? That’s the question posed by the economist Professor Mariana Mazzucato in her latest book.
