The words of the Provisional IRA’s most high profile woman

Chief Correspondent

She was and remains the most high profile woman to have been a member of the Provisional IRA. In a film soon to be released, for the first time Dolours Price talks on camera about her violent youth, including her account of the 1972 killing of Belfast mother of ten Jean McConville. Her death was widely seen as one of the most depraved episodes of The Troubles. Price, who died in 2013, gave an interview to journalist Ed Moloney in 2010, on the basis that it would only be shown after her death. It now forms the centre piece of a new drama documentary.
