With Syria’s northeastern border becoming a warzone, as Turkish forces launch their offensive – rebel held Idlib is all too familiar with the reality of near-daily attacks by the Syrian regime and its Russian allies.

The northwestern province – on Syria’s border with Turkey – is now the last major rebel stronghold, eight years into the bitter conflict.

Government forces surround it in the south – forcing thousands to flee their homes. Those left behind are finding their own ways to cope with life under constant attack.
