The families facing financial hardship at Christmas

For the first time in its history, the UN humanitarian aid agency Unicef has launched an emergency response in the UK, to help feed children caught up in the coronavirus crisis.

The pandemic has seen hundreds of thousands of people lose their jobs and left many families struggling to cope.

The national poverty charity Turn to Us says one in five parents can’t afford Christmas presents without getting into debt.

We have been speaking to one of the families facing financial hardship.
