The Welsh first minister has said that the new vaccine offers “a glimmer of light” at the end of a “long and difficult year”.

But Mark Drakeford warned the country could face further tough restrictions in the new year.

Wales now has the highest rates of coronavirus in the UK and staff at a hospital in south Wales have told this programme they’ve run out of critical care beds, describing the situation there as “desperate”.
