Syrian refugees struggling to survive in Lebanon

An unprecedented snowstorm has hit large areas of the Middle East, with temperatures plunging lower than they’ve been for 40 years.

In Lebanon, it’s added to the misery of more than one and a half million Syrian refugees who are already living in precarious conditions.

The country’s economic and social meltdown isn’t helping either – and with no access to jobs or humanitarian relief, aid agencies say some 90% of displaced Syrians are now living in extreme poverty.
