Syrian refugee attacked at school thanks supporters

The 15-year-old Syrian refugee who was filmed being attacked at school has told his supporters “thanks for everything”.

The boy arrived with his father to talk to a small group of concerned people who’d gathered outside the school in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire this afternoon.

Footage of the attack was shared widely on social media yesterday. Our North of England correspondent, Clare Fallon has this report
