Svetlana Tikhanovskaya: Protests in Belarus will not stop until we have victory

The Belarus president Alexander Lukashenko has blamed NATO for whipping up protests in the country – as his opponents continue to turn out on the streets.

Yesterday, riot police were seen detaining protestors and journalists at a rally in the capital, Minsk.

Mr Lukashenko has threatened sanctions against neighbouring Lithuania, which is now home to the main Belarus opposition leader Svetlana Tikhanovskaya – who fled there for her own safety.

We spoke to her and asked how she feels when she sees what’s happening in Belarus.
