Sudan: Ousted president transferred to prison amid calls he faces charges for atrocities

The ousted Sudanese president Omar al-Bashir has been transferred to a prison in the capital Khartoum according to officials. He was toppled in a coup last week after months of popular protests – and demonstrators have demanded he face charges for atrocities committed during his 30-year rule.
