Sudan: Gun battles threaten fragile ceasefire

Airstrikes and gun battles have continued between Sudan’s rival military forces – despite another extension of the fragile ceasefire.

International aid groups are trying to get food and medical supplies into the country – while the UN’s emergency relief coordinator warned that the humanitarian situation was “reaching breaking point”.
