New study shows people in the North of England more likely to die young

We often talk about the North-South divide.  Usually illustrated by inequalities in infrastructure, services and resources. But geographic differences even impact on how long we live.

A new study has shown people in the North of England are 20 per cent more likely to die before they reach 75. The researchers behind the study blame profound and worsening structural inequalities.The solution, they say, is about investment.
