South East Asian leaders call for end to Myanmar violence

Leaders from across South East Asia have urged the head of Myanmar’s military junta to bring an end to the bloody crackdown on protestors and will appoint an envoy to mediate.

The coup’s leader – General Min Aung Hlaing – was in Jakarta for a summit of regional leaders, called to discuss the deteriorating situation in his country.
