Soul of a Nation at Tate Modern

Tate Modern’s latest exhibition, Soul of a Nation, opens in 1963 at the height of the civil rights movement in America. Through the work of more than 60 artists, it charts 20 years of the African-American struggle for acceptance and integration – the journey of Martin Luther King’s dream from hope to disillusion.  But it also depicts the emergence of Black-American pride and identity.
