Some young Gazans escape daily hardships through protests – others in music and free-running

Just over a week ago Hamas fired hundreds of rockets into Israel, which responded with airstrikes. Gazans have been protesting against the economic blockade on every Friday for more than a year.

Three hundred of them have lost their lives and thousands have been injured in the demonstrations.

Despite the risks, for many young Gazans the protests have become a source of escape from daily hardships.

For others, escape comes through music or free running. A warning: this report contains distressing images.
