Sohaila Abdulali on her book documenting rape in India

A woman is raped in India every fifteen minutes. Sohaila Abdulali is one of them. She was just seventeen when she was gang raped in her home city of Mumbai, in India. A couple of years later she wrote about it in a women’s magazine, the first Indian survivor to speak out publically.
Now forty years on, her story is just one of many stories about rape in her acclaimed book “What we talk about when we talk about rape”. She joins me now
