Should people’s digital footprints be automatically wiped when they die?

There are legal procedures to deal with our worldly assets after we die, but what about our digital ones? A new survey from insurance broker LifeSearch has found that many people are increasingly worried about what might happen to their social media and email accounts after their death, especially the prospect of getting hacked or upsetting loved ones.

In fact, one in four people in the UK want their entire digital presence to be automatically wiped when they pass away. But how would that work?
