Shoreham crash pilot trying ‘to avoid risk’

The pilot of the plane involved in the crash at the 2015 Shoreham air show, which left 11 men dead has told a jury that the primary aim of the display “was to avoid risk”. Andrew Hill was giving evidence at the Old Bailey where he is on trial on 11 counts of manslaughter by gross negligence. Earlier the court had been told how Mr Hill, as a top-ranking RAF student, was selected to become an instructor.
