Scotland’s to enter five-tier Covid alert level system

Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has outlined a five-tier system of measures to curb the spread of coronavirus which will come into force next month – with the highest level closer to the lockdown imposed across the UK in March.

Much of Scotland is already under a high level of restrictions which have forced restaurants and bars to close.

Tonight, this programme reports allegations that some hospitality venues initially refused to furlough all of their workers, potentially leaving some on dramatically reduced pay.
