Scotland has highest drug death rate in Europe

Despite a slight fall this year Scotland continues to have by far the highest drug death rate recorded by any country in Europe.

The new statistics show that people in the most deprived areas were 15 times more likely to have died from drugs than those in the least deprived areas.
