Schoolchildren strike over climate change

Thousands of schoolchildren across the country have walked out of their classrooms to protest over climate change. The young activists joined global school strikes to demonstrate against what they believe to be a lack of action from politicians. Some schools allowed their pupils to walk out, but many warned they could be punished for not going to class.
