Saddleworth firefighters pray for rain

Firefighters tacking an enormous fire on Saddleworth moor in the Peak district got some respite today as soldiers joined them in the effort to contain the flames. Despite the lack of much needed rain to dampen down the dry peat that, once alight, can burn for days, it seems like they might be making progress.
