Russian athletes allowed to compete as neutrals at Paralympics

The war in Ukraine has already prompted over a dozen sports bodies to exclude Russian players and teams from their competitions as a mark of disapproval.

But today the Paralympic committee decided that athletes from Russia and Belarus could take part in the Paralympic Games, which start on Friday – but only as neutrals, competing under the Paralympic Flag.
