Row over vital cystic fibrosis drug sparks protest

The mother of a baby girl with cystic fibrosis today delivered 65 roses to Downing Street to protest at the failure of the NHS to provide a potentially life-changing drug.

It is exactly one year since the prime minister promised a speedy resolution to a funding row between the drug’s manufacturer and NHS England, who have to pay for it. Parents say that while the two sides argue, their children’s health is deteriorating.
