Relief agencies fear coronavirus spread in Rohingya camps

The United Nations Refugee Agency has appealed for international assistance for the crowded Rohingya refugee camps in southern Bangladesh, where the first cases of coronavirus have been recorded.

The World Health Organization has deployed rapid investigation teams to conduct testing and contact tracing in the camps, but relief agencies have told Channel 4 News it’s highly likely the disease has already spread widely. If true, the impact could be devastating.
