Refugee who fled war now aiming for the Olympics

He left everything behind when he fled the Syrian war. 24 year old Eid Aljazairili couldn’t even swim when he made the risky journey by boat across the Mediterranean – finally reaching the UK where he was granted asylum. He soon realised he had a passion – and rare gift – for swimming – and he’s now set his sights on qualifying for next year’s Olympics as part of the refugee team.
