Jeremy Corbyn has issued an apology over any “concerns and anxiety” he caused by appearing on platforms with people whose views he “did not accept or condone” – after it emerged that he had hosted a meeting in 2010 where a speaker compared Israeli policy to the Nazis.
Channel 4 News has obtained a recording of the meeting. Critics have dismissed Mr Corbyn’s apology as “utterly hollow” – while the row has increased the pressure on Labour to take a tougher stand on anti-Semitism.
