Record number of homeless people dying in England and Wales

New figures out today show that the number of homeless people dying on the streets has risen sharply by more than a fifth.

The figures for England and Wales in 2018 were the highest on record and drug poisonings have been blamed for the sharp rise in fatalities.

We have been speaking to homeless people on the streets outside the conference centre in Manchester.
