Pubs in central Scotland to remain closed as Covid restrictions extended

Nicola Sturgeon has extended Scotland’s 16 days of restrictions for one more week, meaning pubs and restaurants in the central belt of Scotland will remain closed.

It comes as the first minister confirmed 28 more deaths of people who had tested positive for coronavirus had been registered in the past 24 hours.
