Protesters interrupt speeches by Braverman and Rees-Mogg at conservatism conference

Conservative divisions over the rising level of legal immigration have been on full public display – as the Home Secretary Suella Braverman told a conference of Tory activists that the level of mass migration to the UK was unsustainable.

However – the government has allowed migration levels to rise in order to boost the economy – and they’re expected to reach a record level when official figures are published later this month.
