Pregnancy club Bounty fined for ‘unprecedented’ illegal data sharing

Special Correspondent and Presenter

A pregnancy club has been fined £400,000 for sharing the personal information of more than 14 million people in what the Information Commissioner described as an “unprecedented” case.

Bounty UK gathered the data from its apps, websites, and directly from new mums in hospital- but failed to tell people it was then shared with dozens of other organisations – including marketing agencies.
