Possibly competition probe into Sky-Fox deal

Rupert Murdoch’s £11.7 billion bid to take full control of Sky looks set to be investigated by the competition watchdog – after the Culture Secretary said she was “minded” to refer it for further inquiry.

Karen Bradley said the merger risked giving 21st Century Fox even more influence over Britain’s news agenda and political process. But she’s given both parties two weeks to make representations before she reaches a final decision.
