23-year old singer-songwriter Poppy Ajudha says she’s delighted when people tell her after a show that they’ve identified with her deeply personal songs.

But when friends told her that former US President Barack Obama had named one of her tracks as a highlight of 2018, the South London artist says she thought it must be a joke. I went to meet her.
