Pompeo says ‘imminent’ threat led to Soleimani killing

In America, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has again declined to give evidence of the “imminent” threat that led to the drone strike on General Soleimani – saying the President had been given “broad detail” of the intelligence.

It comes as lawmakers on Capitol Hill demand answers … and even some Republican Senators are expressing criticism of President Trump’s ‘strategy’ on Iran.
