Petition over child refugees handed to PM

Tens of thousands of people have urged the Prime Minister to continue providing a safe haven for unaccompanied child refugees. Labour peer Lord Dubs handed a mass petition into Number Ten – joined by campaigners and faith leaders, including the Archbishop of Canterbury, who said he was “saddened and shocked” by the Government’s decision to scrap the scheme.
