Persimmon boss to leave after pay row

He was the highest paid boss of a FTSE 100 company, but following a row over his £75 million bonus payment, the boss of one of the country’s largest housebuilding firms has been shown the door.

Jeff Fairburn is parting company with Persimmon “by mutual agreement” because his remuneration package was having a “negative impact on the reputation of the business”.
