‘People never recognise us’ – Carers on their fears about the coronavirus outbreak

The Health Secretary thanked carers for their courage today, and the government confirmed its expansion of testing for coronavirus will also be available to carers who conduct home visits.

But many of those working in the sector have long been afraid of how they might be inadvertently spreading the disease, because they don’t have enough personal protective equipment.
