‘People are woke’ – British Vogue editor says world ‘won’t go backwards’

The First Minister of Scotland Nicola Sturgeon recently claimed that when she met Liz Truss the main thing the then Foreign Secretary wanted to discuss was how to get into Vogue magazine, which Ms Sturgeon has been in twice.

The editor of British Vogue Edward Enninful has just written a book about his journey from Ghanaian refugee to fashion gatekeeper and how he’s used his power to make Vogue a place which champions inclusion on race, age, body shape and everything else.

We spoke to him and asked, as an advocate for diversity and inclusion, what he made of Liz Truss’s plans to take on so-called ‘wokeness’.
