‘National leadership needed’ to improve Welsh cancer services

A highly critical report says stronger, clearer national leadership is urgently needed in Wales to improve cancer services.

The spending watchdog Audit Wales says there’s been a continuing failure to meet performance targets, with too many people facing unacceptably long waits for cancer diagnosis and treatment.

One charity told this programme the findings should be a wake-up call for the Welsh Government.
