Over 30 dead as blizzard hits western New York

More than 30 people have now died in western New York state – during what officials are calling the worst blizzard in recent memory.

Some people were trapped in stranded cars for more than two days – others were left without power since the storm first began. President Biden has confirmed an “emergency declaration” for the region – allowing federal help to be sent in.
