No-deal Brexit latest: £9m for port preparations

As the Prime Minister began his European tour to try to get a deal, his man in charge of planning for a no-deal was out insisting everything was in hand.

Visiting Holyhead Port, Michael Gove said the government was taking steps to ensure the UK was “properly prepared” for a no-deal Brexit – which includes giving port towns an extra 9 million pounds to get ready. That’s nowhere near enough, say many councils.
