Nikki Haley enters presidential race against Donald Trump

The former governor of South Carolina, Nikki Haley, was once a close ally of Donald Trump.

He appointed her to be his ambassador at the UN – but now she becomes the first candidate to throw her hat into the ring to challenge Trump for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination. Thus breaking the promise she made two years ago not to stand against her former boss.
