‘Nightingale of Bollywood’ Lata Mangeshkar dies aged 92

She was known as the ‘nightingale of Bollywood’ – one of India’s best loved stars, Lata Mangeshkar, has died at the age of 92, after testing positive with Covid last month.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi joined entertainment stars at her funeral, while large crowds gathered outside to pay tribute, flags will be flown at half mast during two days of national mourning.

Condolences have poured in from her millions of fans across the world.
