Neolithic circle of shafts found near Stonehenge

Just two days after the summer solstice, archaeologists have made a major prehistoric discovery near Stonehenge.

They’ve found evidence of a ring of pits deep below ground, which were dug thousands of years ago, in nearby Durrington Walls.

It’s thought they served as a boundary to the henge.
