‘This pandemic has its roots in environmental abuses’ – Natural England chair Tony Juniper

Today, the government said these issues are “among the great challenges of our time” which it is “committed to addressing”.

They did not, however, make a minister available to speak about such issues on tonight’s programme.

But the government did offer up Tony Juniper, who is the chair of Natural England, which is the official body that works for the conservation and restoration of the natural environment in England.

We began by asking him if he would have been more critical of the government had he still been working at the WWF?
